Nwachi To Return For Kaduna Utd Tie

Injured Dolphin Football Club striker, Emma Nwachi, could make a return to the side in this weekend’s clash with Kaduna United in a Week 18 encounter at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Nwachi, who moved from Nigerian champion, Bayelsa United in the off-season transfer window, is suffering from an ankle injury.
The striker on his way to recover recently suffered an aggravation in his sprained ankle during a training session of his club and had to miss the trip to Akure to face Sunshine Stars last weekend.
“Emma Nwachi is still out after suffering injuries in the Premier League match against Kano Pillars in Port Harcourt three weeks ago. Nwachi who joined Dolphins from Bayelsa United in the off-season had scored twice for the club before injury took its toll on him,” said the club’s media officer in a statement to Naijaligue.blogspot.com.
But the 23-year-old forward feels pained by the fact that the injury has taken long to heal than he initially anticipated.
The former Plateau United and Sharks Football Club striker is keen to return to competitive football for his side.
“A defender hit me from behind and I really thought I would have returned for the game against Rangers in Enugu but I aggravated it in training so right now I am just resting to see how fast it heals,” Nwachi said.
