Kaduna Utd Hosts F’Eagles In Friendly

Nigeria Premier League side, Kaduna United, will kickstart its pre-season exercise for next campaign by playing the Flying Eagles in a tune-up game at the Kaduna Township Stadium on Sunday.
Spokesman of the club, Abdulrahman Tonga, disclosed to Naijaligue.blogspot.com in a statement that the friendly match against the Nigerian Under-20 side is meant to prepare the team ahead of its Federation Cup final match against Premier League champion, Enyimba, billed to hold next month at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.
The Kaduna-based club had played against the Golden Eaglets last week at the same venue, according to Tonga.
Tonga added that match will serve as a preparation for the club’s subsequent engagement at the domestic scene.
“Last week, we played a friendly match with the Golden Eaglets, and this week we have organised something similar with the Flying Eagles which will be played on Sunday at the Kaduna Township Stadium for the preparation of the Federation Cup final. The friendly is also to keep our players in good condition ahead of our continental matches,” Tonga informed.
The media officer added that the playing staff and coaches have set their sight on becoming the first club from Kaduna to win the Federation Cup.
Kaduna United finished 10th in the Premier League and is aiming for its first-ever silverware in Nigeria while Enyimba is eyeing a domestic double, as it is also the defending champion of the Federation Cup.
