Gombe Utd set to move into new stadium

Last season’s ninth placed finisher, Gombe United, could begin next season in a new stadium built by the Gombe State government.
Coordinator of the club and special assistant to the Gombe governor, Mallam Farouk Yarma, hinted that the stadium will soon be commissioned by the state and will be opened to use to Gombe United.
He told Naijaligue.blogspot.com in an interview that the ground is named the Pantami Stadium.
“The Gombe State government is committed to ensuring that sports facilities in the state are world-class. That is why the government has built the Pantami Stadium, which is 80 per cent near completion. Gombe United is our biggest team in the state and it will be using the stadium for the league.
“The stadium was named Pantami because it is located in an area that bears that name. So it will be opened to all sports activities and especially Gombe United, which is the biggest sport project in our state,” he said.
